Domain
The selection will agnostic to the domain/disciplines with preference for a solution that is realised in a hardware. Software solutions will also be considered subject to the condition of multi-disciplinarity.
Eligibility
- Project needs to be interdisciplinary in nature, with team members from different departments. Ideal Team would be 2 faculty and 2 students from different disciplines
- The project supported would ideally be a composite of two master’s projects that synergises into a product or technology that has a strong market potential
- Open for all Master’s Projects in the initial phase.
Selection
- A two-page proposal with the following information is sought – title, team with affiliation in Institute, budget, technical details and potential for translation.
- Proposals will be evaluated by a single committee with some external experts.
- 8-10 projects will be supported in the first edition.
Support
- 2.5 lakhs per project
- Access to workshops and talks by experts in the areas of design thinking, innovation, business development
- Domain experts from industry if required
- Potential for support under SID’s Entrepreneurship in Residence (EIR) program or Incubation Program for translation of solution to market
