Innovation in Plastics: IISc joins forces with Marico Innovation Foundation and Praxis Global Alliance
SID, IISc along with MIF & PGA, has launched a groundbreaking playbook titled “Innovation in Plastic: The Potential and Possibilities.” This playbook is the result of SID, IISc’s evaluation of research and technologies in the plastics field, identifying best practices. This evaluation led to the development of a strategic roadmap, engaging all stakeholders to address the plastics issue through social, behavioral, technological, and regulatory interventions. The playbook emphasizes the urgent need for a sustainable and circular economy in India to address the environmental damage caused by plastic waste. It underscores the crucial roles of government, corporations, civil society, and entrepreneurs in achieving this goal.
